Lots of single contacts for the CQ WW WPX contest but not many stations staying on for a long time. And nothing heard here.

Things have been slow for Dave, VK5MRD, this week.

“Thursday 26/03/2009. Stations heard were:- 9W2VVH, JR0YAN/b, JA2IGY/b, VR2B/b, ZL3TEN/b, ZL2MHF/b, VK2RSY/b and VK4RTL/b. Stations worked were:- JE1SDO Masa.

Friday 27/03/2009. Stations heard were:- JR0YAN/b, JA2IGY/b, JA4GXX, VR2B/b and a very weak VK8VF/b. Stations worked were:- Only VK5’s. Lets see what the WPX brings this weekend!

Saturday 28/03/2009. Stations heard were:- JR0YAN/b and JA2IGY/b. Stations worked were:-Only JA6BGA. Been at work all day and that was the only QSO for me on 10m. 10m was pretty much closed up but 15m was very active but has since closed. Better luck tomorrow.”

Yet another David, CE2WZ, sent in a report slightly too late to make last week’s article. But I’ll include it now.

Sunday: FM5AA 5/7, J88NEF 5/7. He comments: “Hello Tony - not much on 10 this week - 15 more active. I usually try on about 28475 at about 19.00 to 23.00 UTC - 100 watts tri-band yagi. I am a great fan of 10 metres and try to get on when band conditions allow - which is not always easy from northern Chile. Any info I can help you with from down here you have only to ask. Have a good trip to Hong Kong and I look forward to catching up with you when you get back.”

Ian, VK1DI is working stations in the CQ WW WPX Contest. VK4MA 5/9 and JA6WJL 5/9 so far.

Anyone can contribute to this section of the report. To keep it as recent as possible try to get information to me by 12:00 UTC on Wednesday.
