David, CE2WZ enjoyed the Sunday opening.
“Just when I thought I would have nothing to report 10 metres opened up this Sunday 30th and I had some 37 QSOs to Europe and Brazil. All on 28425/28422 between 19.36 and 21.05 UTC. The band went out quite quickly and I was left on my own again. Look forward to next openings.”
He worked, PU2MRK, PU3SVA, PA5A, PY5YKZ, PU5UAI, PU2UJG, F4GBU, ON7HM, GW3NWS, CT1IZW, F5BKB, PY2ID, PU2TEA, PY5ACT, PU2PPK, PU2VDC, M0URX, G0OTT, M0CCQ, PD7ES, PD0RKC, PU2KJH, F6IGS, EI9FVB, EA1HLW, ON5EN, EA1HDD, DL2RDT, DF1IAQ, DO1KRT, DC1RS, DL7UAJ, EA1QL, PU4ASL, IZ2AMW and DL2IC.
A late, but welcome report from Pavel, CO7WT.
He really is up-to-date because it’s about today, Wednesday 2nd September. He says,
“Band appears to be dead, here in FL11BJ (Camagüey City, Cuba as you ask in a past report...) this is at 1200Z 02/09/2009, nothing but S2 noise and some RFI from my PC Display hi hi hi...
(FT-747GX + T2FD anntena)”.
Thanks for that Pavel. My two flat panel displays and cable modem give me no noise, but the Zyxel router is bad, bad, bad. I would guess your PC display is CRT?

Note Region 1 Field Day. I contacted Roger G3NLY last week to check on the old blighter and was pleased to find he and Chris (the XYL) are hale and hearty as are the rest of the ex-Lichfield Contest Group. These are the guys (and me) who won the contest many times in the 90s and early 2000s.
Upcoming activity (though not guaranteed to be on 10m). Information from DXwatch.com and 425DXnews

Sun: Tiny sunspot 1025 is rapidly fading away. So not much happening out there at the moment.
Stoke beat Sunderland and we are 4 th in the table!! Next match against Chelsea so we can’t expect to get much out of that. But we have new players (several from Sunderland) and Tuncay looks to be an exciting prospect, so who knows, we may spring a surprise on the blues. Also we have this new Uruguayan International, Diego Arismendi. Don’t know anything about him not even where the space in the team is for him.
Both T20 matches were rained off so now we have 7 (why??) ODIs. Overexposure against Australia and with the weather being the way it is what chance of seeing any flow to the games.
