Amateur Radio promotional material pays dividends

Newcastle radio amateur Grahame O'Brien VK2FA recently distributed a quantity of press releases to media outlets around the western plains of New South Wales promoting some upcoming foundation assessments that are being conducted in the central west town of Cobar over the weekend of 6th and 7th of September.

Much to Grahame's surprise he received a phone call from ABC radio presenter Dugald Saunders of the western plains
ABC Radio requesting an interview.

During the eight minute interview, Grahame provided an overview on amateur radio, explained about our radio bands, operating modes, how we communicate, the popular foundation licence as well as providing contact details for
assessments taking place in the Cobar.
