SARL HF Field Day

The second leg of the SARL HF Field Day will be run over the weekend of 21 and 22 November 2009 with phone and CW activity on 10 to 160 metres.

Stations can participate as a single operator or multi-operator field station or as a general station.

Only six logs were received for the the Spring QRP Sprint. The results are:

1-Watt Class:

1st Jan Botha, ZS4JAN, 16 380 points;
2nd Pierre van Deventer, ZS6BB, 7 680 points;
3rd Dennis Green, ZS4BS, 420 points.

5-Watt Class:

1st Andre Botes, ZS2ACP, 4 288 points;
2nd Tienie Herbst, ZS6MHH, 1 144 points;
3rd Eddie Leighton, ZS6BNE, 864 points.

Work on the 2010 SARL Contest Manual has started. Suggestions for new contests, possible changes to existing contests and Radio Clubs wanting to host contests are invited. Send your submission to the Contest Manager by e-mail to hfcontests@netactive.co.za by Sunday 15 November 2009.
